Neighborhood Picnic

Adult and Family committee will sponsor the All-Church/Neighborhood Picnic on August 22nd, highest hopes for the autumn bonfire by the river, and provisions for a chili supper to introduce the Charge Conference in November. 

Softball

Join Coach John "The Gazell" Friedl and your friends at Fountain Park Church for a summer filled with fun softball games!  The team plays in the Christian Good Fellowship Softball League.  Play begins the middle of May and ends towards the end of August. Participants can play when ever it fits into their schedules.  We play on Monday evenings with games starting at one of two times: 5:45 or 6:55.  All games are played at Veterans Park and every now and then at Kiwanis.

Participants must be at least 14 years of age and we have players in their 60's.  So, you're never too old!  Guys and gals are welcome!  We are starting our 6th season. If you are interested, contact the church office.  We would love for you to join us.

Brat Fry

 

The Adult and Family committee will sponsor a Brat Fry at the southside Piggly Wiggly on August 14th. The money raised from this event will be used for a community service project. The money from last year's event was used to purchase backpacks for the backpack project (see below). Bring your friends, family and neighbors for some good Sheboygan food and hospitality. We can't wait to see you there!


Back Pack Project

As a congregation that cares for the needs of individuals and families, Fountain Park UM Church began sponsoring a back pack project for families who would be blessed with the extra help as school begins. The goal of the project is to specifically put together the requested ‘school list’ items for those in our midst who would be blessed by these school packs.
A large part of the funding comes from events hosted by our Adult and Family committee and our Missions people jumped on board to help as well. We are willing to help those in need from the community. For more information, contact the church office at 452-1319.

Pancake Breakfast

On Sunday, February 14th we had a wonderful time of fellowship as our Adult and Family Committee hosted a pancake breakfast.  There were 10 to 12 different varieties of pancakes to choose from.  For the simple taste, we featured buttermilk pancakes or cakes with blueberries or chocolate chips.  For the pancake conesieur, potato pancakes, polka dot cakes, corn cakes, and other varieties were offered.  The Adult and Family committee along with the Outreach group are considering hosting these several times a year.  These are open to the public and visitors are more than welcome to attend. Watch for information on the next Pancake Breakfast. Our next pancake breakfast will be held on Sunday, June 6, 2010.  A western-style pancake breakfast just for Dad!


Youth Dessert Auction

This is a major fun-raisers for our summer mission trips.  A nice meal is served at a minimum price.  This is followed by an outrageously fun dessert auction where tables bid on their desserts.  Desserts can go for up to $400/each.  It's a wild time and fun is had by all


Easter Breakfast

An Easter tradition for Fountain Park Church is our annual Easter Breakfast.  This is a great time for food and fellowship as we celebrate the risen Christ.
