Fountain Park UMC has partnered with Group Mission Trips for a Home Repair & Renovation Youth Workcamp in Sheboygan County. 

Are you in need of home repairs, improvements, painting, a wheelchair ramp, or other work? Church youth from around the country will be working on these jobs in Sheboygan County the week of June 26-July 2, 2022.

This camp offers approximately 300 youth and their adult chaperones from all around the country and various Christian denominations to come together for six days to perform hands-on projects for 40-60 Sheboygan County residents in need.  We can do new construction or repair wheelchair ramps, porches & decks; interior & exterior painting; light carpentry, mobile home skirting, weatherization, minor roof repair and much more for those who are physically and/or financially unable to do these projects for themselves with little to no cost to the resident.

It is estimated that each “Group Workcamp” offers more than 10,000 volunteer labor hours with a value of over $100,000 benefiting communities all over the country.  This is not only meaningful in making improvements to our neighborhoods, but also gives hope to residents who may have serious situations.

Group Mission Trips, since 1990, have had 480,000 church youth participants who have racked up more than 14 million hours of serving people in need.  They serve in partnership with community organizations, such as Fountain Park UMC.  The mission experiences give the youth groups the time to connect to community and a relationship with Jesus.

Beyond the physical transformation that happens with the homes there is also a transformation within the hearts of each person.  Teens and adults may find new confidence in their skills, talking and praying within a group.  A resident may be given new hope that they may safely leave their homes because of the newly constructed porch or wheelchair ramp.  These are a few of the experiences that keep Group Missions passionate about what they do.  God is at work through the partners, campers and residents.  We believe in the power of service to change lives.
